Review

This was my first time back at Skegness Butlins since I was a child and it did not disappoint. I went with mam and my toddler 2.5 yrs old and found so much to keep her entertained. She loved seeing her favourite characters like teletubbies and getting pics done with them. Red coats interacted with kids great and other shows were fab also. She lived tots disco and also theo mouse and wendy on the evenings entertainment. The beach was great just behind the resort and also the little fair ground rides on site also. Food was lovely and always had plenty of choice for both adults and children. Guy on door restaurant was always lovely and very friendly with both kids and staff. Only thing I could fault for full 5 days was free wifi wasn't up to much. Highly recommend!! And will def be returning.

My husband and I, both pensioners, have been to the Skegness camp three times this year. Initially it was so my husband, who used to go to Butlins, Skeggy, every year as a child in the fifties and sixties, could see if it had changed much.
We had such a lovely weekend the first time we went in the Spring, we rebooked for June, then again for September. Each time we booked the same accommodation
(ground floor seaside apartment) as he's disabled and this one works well for us with a wheelchair.
The camp, each time we've visited, has been immaculate, the garden layout is a real credit to the planners and gardeners, the seaside apartment has been spotless each time, and all the staff we came across were lovely.
Can't comment on the pool or evening entertainment, as we weren't sure about access to the shows and the queuing looked pretty bad so we didn't try.
But the restaurants were great, the quality of the meals in the beachcomber and the pub and kitchen were really good, the ice creams were lovely, and the mocktails are well worth trying.
The bar staff were friendly and very efficient, as were all the restaurant staff and the housekeeping team.
To anyone who is dubious, just book a weekend and see.
Obviously our experience would be very different to if you go with young children, but all the families I saw seemed to be having a brilliant time.
